Our Services

Family all age health services

Acute disease diagnoses, treatments, and follow ups including minor injuries. Chronic disease diagnoses, treatments and follow ups including chronic disease exacerbations. Mental health disease diagnoses and managements, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, PTSD, dementia care, etc. Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests such as blood work, urine work up, H. pylori testing, Covid-19 PCR test, etc. Ordering and interpreting diagnostic investigations such as X-rays, ultrasounds, computed tomography or magnetic resonance scans. Pediatric common disease diagnosis and managements such as, common upper respiratory tract infections and gastrointestinal ailments. Completing home appropriate procedures such as skin biopsies, incision & drainages, suturing, and wound management. Palliative end of life patient and family care excluding MAID.

Medication management

Treatment of common family all age diseases. Regular medication reviews, prescription renewals, and polypharmacy management. Prescribe controlled drugs/narcotics through utilizing Alberta TPP prescription pads.

Women and Men health screening

Women age-appropriate health screening including pap smears, breast mammograms and ultrasounds, FIT test and colonoscopy, and STD screening. Men age-appropriate health screening including PSA screening, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and FIT test and colonoscopy.

Health Counselling

Patient and family health counselling. Health promotion and disease prevention through annual complete physical assessments and life style modifications. Collaboration/referral/consultation with your family physician, specialist physicians, allied health, and community agencies.

About AB Nurse Practitioner Healthservices

We provide house calls for all age Albertans when you are unable to visit your family physician in a timely manner, is faced by extended wait time for a clinic appointment, or when you don’t have a family physician.  

Our nurse practitioner team are registered in good standing with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta.

A nurse practitioner is an independent health care provider who acquired additional knowledge and clinical practice experience through extra graduate education. Nurse practitioner can complete comprehensive medical assessments, diagnose and treat acute and chronic diseases.

In addition, nurse practitioner can order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic and screening tests to complement patients’ medical plane of care, liaise and collaborate with different interdisciplinary team members for a holistic patient care model.
